Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how Structurys Labs (“we”, “us”) processes data in its iOS apps, namely Binairo, Futoshiki, Sudoku and PicTrip (the “Apps”).
1. Who we are
Structurys Labs is an independent developer based in France, creating iOS apps for individuals.
2. Data we collect
Our Apps are designed to collect as little personal data as reasonably possible. We do not ask you to create an account and we do not store any passwords or free-text notes that you type while playing.
2.1 Data you provide to us
In normal use of the Apps, you do not have to share any personal information with us. If you contact us directly (for example by email via our main website), we may receive your name, email address and the content of your message. This information is used only to answer you.
2.2 Automatically collected data
Depending on the version of the Apps you are using, we may collect anonymous or pseudonymous information such as:
- Basic device information (model, operating system version, language, country/region).
- App usage data (for example, number of sessions, screens visited, time spent in the game, game difficulty).
- Crash reports and performance data in order to identify technical problems.
This data is usually collected through Apple and/or analytics tools integrated in the Apps. We use it only to understand how the Apps are used and to improve stability and features.
2.3 Advertising and third-party services
Some of our Apps may display advertising or use third-party services such as analytics or crash reporting tools. These partners may collect their own data in accordance with their own privacy policies, which are presented in the consent dialog when required.
On iOS, Apple may also process data through the App Store, iCloud or Game Center services. This processing is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
2.4 PicTrip: Specific Data
PicTrip is a travel journal app that imports geotagged photos from your device's photo library. It processes data differently from our puzzle games:
- Photo library access: PicTrip reads photos you explicitly select. It reads GPS coordinates, date, time and altitude embedded in photo metadata (EXIF). It does not access your full photo library automatically.
- Location data: GPS coordinates extracted from your photos are stored locally on your device and, if you use iCloud, synchronized across your Apple devices via your private iCloud account (CloudKit private database). This data is never transmitted to our servers.
- Reverse geocoding: GPS coordinates are sent to Apple's MapKit service to convert them into place names (city, country). This is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not store the raw coordinates on any server we control.
- iCloud sync: Trip data (names, dates, photo references, captions, favorites) is stored in your private iCloud container and is only accessible to you and your devices signed in to the same Apple ID. We have no access to this data.
- No advertising: PicTrip contains no advertising and no third-party analytics SDK.
3. How we use the data
We use the data described above for the following purposes:
- To operate the Apps and provide their core features.
- To fix bugs and improve performance.
- To understand how the Apps are used and which screens or modes are most popular.
- To show non-personalized or contextual advertising when applicable.
4. Legal basis (EEA / UK users)
For users located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract to provide the core functionality of the Apps you choose to install.
- Legitimate interest to improve stability and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Your consent for optional features such as personalized advertising or certain analytics, when required by law.
5. Data retention
We keep analytics and crash data only for the time needed to analyse trends and maintain the Apps, in accordance with the retention policies of the tools we use. Emails or support requests are kept for as long as necessary to answer you and maintain an archive of important exchanges. Data stored in your iCloud account via PicTrip is retained until you delete it yourself from within the app — we have no control over this data.
6. Children
Our Apps are designed for a general audience and are not specifically targeted at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age required by local law for consent. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we can delete it.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, rectification, deletion or restriction of your personal data. Because we collect very little personal information directly, the exercise of these rights will usually relate to data stored by Apple or our third-party partners.
If you have any questions about your data or wish to exercise your rights, you can contact us as described below.
8. Contact
For any question regarding this policy or our Apps, please contact us via the contact information available on our main website labs.structurys.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our Apps or in applicable regulations. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the latest version.
